Go Skateboarding Day is a global celebration held every 21st June, where skaters everywhere hit the streets to share their love for skateboarding. This year's Go Skateboarding Day in Penang proved once again how powerful and united the local skate community is. It wasn’t just a day to ride — it was a day to inspire, connect, and grow.

21st June 2025 — Go Skateboarding Day lit up Penang Island with one of the most happening skate events the scene has seen this year!

Held at Youth Park, Penang, Malaysia, the event wasn’t just a local meet-up — it turned into a full-blown skate festival, drawing skaters from all over Penang, the northern region, and even as far as Kuala Lumpur, Sabah, and Sarawak! The energy was real — skaters showing up, repping their hometowns, and turning the park into a massive celebration of skate culture.

🎉 What Went Down

Things kicked off at 2PM and kept rolling until the end. The day was packed with hype moments like:

1. Skate rally

2. Best trick at the stairs

3. Bomb hill challenge

4. Best trick on rail

5. Cash for trick & A-frame session

6. Longest ollie

7. Prize-giving ceremony

Every session had the crowd going wild, with skaters pushing their limits and feeding off the nonstop energy. From first-timers to seasoned shredders, everyone came to skate, support, and soak in the good vibes.

More Than an Event — It Was a Real Skate Family Moment

What made this Go Skateboarding Day so special was the people. Meeting new skaters, seeing familiar faces, and making new connections — the event was full of stories, shared tricks, and even better conversations.
